BEHIND DICE OF ORION

Hi, I’m Gabriela — the maker behind Dice of Orion.

As a self-confessed geek who's always journeyed between the realms of fantasy and science fiction, I pour my passion for gaming and cosmic intrigue into every handmade dice set. Crafted in my starlit workshop in Poland (EU), I personally ensure that each die reflects the spirit of epic quests and interstellar exploration.

Alongside me in this venture is Orion, my trusty canine sidekick 🐾, who gives a wag of approval for each set, certifying their quality before they make their way to your gaming table. When not forging new constellations of dice, you'll find us embarking on adventures both in the world of tabletop RPGs and the great outdoors, always ready to roll the dice on new cosmic journeys!

ABOUT THE PROCESS

Art supplies for TTRPG dice crafting including bottles of ink, a small container, a plastic bag with colored mica powders, and a blue brush on a workspace.

PREPARATION

Inks, mica, and pigments are carefully chosen - each one a spark of a new galaxy.

MIXING

Resin swirls with color, creating a one-of-a-kind cosmic brew ready for casting.

POURING

The stellar mix flows into molds, where shapes begin to form from the void.

PRESSURIZING

In the pressure pot, bubbles vanish and the dice take solid form - flawless and bright.

SANDING

Layer by layer, the surface is refined by hand to reveal the beauty within.

POLISHING

With polish and patience, the dice gain their shine - reflecting their cosmic soul.

INKING

Each number is hand-painted, marking the final step in their celestial journey.

BENEATH THE SURFACE

Many of the dice in our shop feature blanks, geodes, or layered inserts - tiny worlds suspended within resin. These techniques involve double the work, from multiple pours and extended curing times to extra rounds of sanding and finishing.

Combined with hand-painting, decal application, and precise insert arrangement, each die becomes a miniature cosmic artifact - crafted with care, patience, and a touch of stardust!
